LiP/ICC-A Undergraduates/First Year Law Students

 

OVERVIEW

ICC-A is a two-day program an interactive lecture format with audio-visual "real life interview" clips opportunities for individualized attention and counseling during scheduled breaks and after the formal program.

DAY 1: Two major segments provide insight into the various settings and contexts in which law is most often practiced and/or a law degree is applicable or required.

The first morning the various settings of law practice and/or law degree application overview of the many and diverse organizational settings which are available to law school graduates covering the gamut, from solo and other private practice to government service to classroom to corporate boardroom.

An approximate one-hour on / near-site group lunch break an opportunity for informal questions and discussions about the morning material among the participants and the presenters.

The first afternoon exploring the basic areas of traditional law practice and the unique attributes and requirements of each civil law; criminal law; trial law; transactional law; administrative law; and general practice overview of many of the specialty practice areas family law; commercial law; real estate law; environmental and regulatory law; entertainment, arts, and sports law; media, computer, and intellectual law; bankruptcy law; criminal defense / prosecution law; military law; tax law; trusts, estates, probate, and guardianship law.
